Tourism, Food and Entertainment in Shannon Airport

A series of promotions highlighting tourism and leisure facilities in the Mid West has been launched at Shannon Airport.

During the next six weeks, the airport will host daily trade promotions involving trade representatives from counties Clare, Limerick, Tipperary and Offaly.

Organisations taking part will include Shannon Heritage, Foynes Flying Boat Museum, Heritage Sports Cars, the Burren Connect Project, Skydive, Cliffs of Moher and A Taste of Clare.

Organised in conjunction with Shannon Development, this pilot initiative will enable participants to promote their products and region to peak-time arriving passengers.

A condition of taking part is that traders must create interaction with passengers, such as offering food and beverage tasting or entertainment.
